So I went down Friday the 17th. Full gear and thank goodness. I still managed to lose a significant portion of my index finger. As that heals I am addreessing my bike repair. The biggest concern is the rock I took to the engine.

Can anyone give me a clue about what I am in for?
These are some pics of the engine case. I drove it for almost 2 hours after the incident.
It may be leaking oil very very slowly. If you touch it, you'll get oil on your finger, but no stains on the ground.
Oil is about half full in the sight glass after sitting for 2 days.
Also the fork seals were almost at the bottom of the fork.

The oil seals on the forks are still in place - or they would have bled out all the oil on the spot. What you're probably seeing is the dust seals. They are the outer most and just press fit. The oil seal is a bit further in, and retained by a spring clip.

Check the dust seals for damage. If there's none, ensure everything is clean in the cavity where they sit. If that's all clean, work them up the slider and press them back into place.

As noted, you'll need a new generator cover - definitely got a leak there.

Glad you weren't hurt worse and the bike didn't come out to back either

I had a crack in that same engine cover and found a replacement on fleebay.  
I'm not that mechanical and I managed to replace it myself.
Wasn't that difficult at all except keeping the gasket in place while putting it all back together.  I was told it's easier to use a gasket then use the gasket glue (or whatever you want to call the gasket material that comes in a tube like caulk) so that's the route I went and it worked out well.  No leaks in 2 years since I put it all back together.

Yes, I rode an hour to the volunteer fire station where they didnt do much (Ice pack and 4x4). Then forty minutes to the hospital, and they helped a lot. For some reason they did not reattach the tip. Infact my buddy pulled it out of the glove as I was discharged. I threw it away. Then rode 30 minutes to my buddies house. So I guess it was over 2 hours at speed.
ATGATT. It should have been a lot worse.  

The oxycodone is definitely impacting my thought process.

wow that sucks man. I am glad you are sorta ok.

They probably didn't reattach it because they couldn't find it if it was still in your glove after you were discharged.

Hopefully that was a closed road (i'm sure it's not) or he could have easily killed someone else, complete disregard for the double yellow and total lack of skill.

^^^ Thats the big difference here.  It's bastards like this that are always on my mind when I want to have fun on a twisty backroad, because I've already had so many damn close head-on encounters with these blatantly lazy sloppy asses coming through a curve.  I absolutely hate it, and I hope I don't end up biting the dust like that, cuz these irresponsible make the beast with two backss aren't worth it. 

OP's incident was at least an honest accident.  And on that note, perhaps a new helmet visor is in order, if he decides to continue riding, of course.  Don't know all the details of course, but visors make a big difference.

You might want to get a snazzy "hole cover" to hide the blemish, but it looks like yours is still intact.
