With all due respect to LYD and "Winky's favorite" [laugh] going away throw downs our dear Andre will be leaving for Belgium to further his education in Grad School. If I'm not mistaken he told me that he'll be leaving shortly after Alan does... maybe mid-July... maybe?? All this farewell party planning starts to take on another whole life at times with 100 different schedules to satisfy and keep up with. So, why don't we keep it simple and see if Andre will chime in and first off let us know when he splits and if he has time for us holligans and secondly, what he might want to do? Lunch? Dinner? Somewhere in his part of town (Plano) or maybe Margaux's for something groovy and close to Dallas/AMS for lunch. He seemed to like that when we had Lisa's B-day there.

Chime in brother and let us know. Love to have a send off thing for you! [thumbsup] Any ideas peepe?

Let's have a huge pool party at RonR's house!!! (Should we mention it to RonR first, or not?)

I don't know, something just tells me we ought to let people whose party it's in honor of pick the time and place. Makes sense to me. Why make Andre drive to Lancaster when he lives in Plano?

Hey, I'm easy ;D

Y'all work it out, & I'll be there [thumbsup]

Yup, we can't let anyone leave without a proper send-off.   [beer]

I'll keep my eye on this for the details.  [thumbsup]

Just a heads-up.  I told andre about the thread so he will chime in sometime soon.
Don't know what to say anymore...

Ah, sweet!  [thumbsup]

Sorry about the delay, I haven't been able to see the boards properly for the past few days...

A lunch would be awesome, and sometime during the week would work best.  Weekends are now dedicated family time  :)

I wouldn't mind somewhere in Dallas, if it's easier for everybody.  Margaux was definitely good, so I'll vote for that!  If anybody has a better spot in mind, let me know.

As for when, apart from Monday (tomorrow) and Tuesday, any weekday would work.  How does this Thursday sound?  Too soon?  Next week is still game, I only leave on the 16th!

sweet...  [drink]

How about Isabella's.  Since I had promised Barry I would go to Isabella's today, I snuck out of the house and took a break to go there this afternoon.  The place looks great and the place was practically all ours that afternoon.  Some cars folks but about 20 bikes from the DFW sportbike.com group.  Lane on his yellow S4 was there and a guy named Mark on a BMW K1200S with S.O. Suzanne on a 620 dark.  Also two superbikes; Barry's 1098 and a red 848.  Then there was me.

There was picture taking with the bike lined up on the sidewalk and the owner of the place was so happy because it reminded him of Italy where he said the bikes would park by the hundreds everywhere in front of cafes.  It's at the corner of 121 and Legacy Dr.

Andre, I know you would rather do this on a weekday but a lot more people cane come if you have a couple of hours on a Sunday afternoon before you leave.  If that's not possible, I'll still go on a Thursday for lunch at Margaux or at this palce Isabella.  I need an excuse to go all the way there to eat lunch.  We had appetizers and drinks on the house today.

Bueno! If that's good for you Andre then that's where and when it will be. You let us know. If some other place at some other time works better for you just say the word. If a weekday night is better in regards to having a few drinks (as opposed to drinking at lunch) that is do-able. For the record, Margaux's is only open at night on Fridays. But i hear there are lots of good eaterys in the metroplex. It's your call brother!

The pressure, the pressure!!!

Charles,   I know weekdays are tough, but I have two weekends left here before I move across the pond, so I'd really rather spend this time with my folks (who are trying no to show, but are having nervous breakdowns over this move).  Since my dad is away on business during the week, weekends are the only time I'll see him before I go...

I'm hoping everyone who wants to attend can do so during lunch hour, but if not we'll schedule this for a dinner thing.

As for Margaux vs Isabella's, I think Margaux will be easier for everyone involved (whereas Isabella's would only be easy for me).  Plus, Margaux is cajun  [evil]!!!  How many cajun restaurants will I see in Belgium?  Now, I would gladly go to Isabella's instead...  That's up to you folks.  Just post your preference.  [thumbsup]

For now, though, it seems that Margaux on thursday at 1pm is a go [thumbsup]

André
