The Pirelli Angel ST run the dual compound IIRC.
Another new tech out there I've had a Pirelli guy tell me about is the Metzler (Pirelli owns them) Z08 dual thread/single compound sport touring tire.

I run the Michelin Pilot Road 2CT on the Monster and ST2 (just installed and haven't ridden much as bike needs a stator).

I rode the Monster to Italy, on Misano track, and back to Germany. I had a year on the tires before that and they still have tread and curvature.

I had Pirelli Angel's on my 696 from the factory, got over 10,000 miles before replacing them with Pilot Road 3's. The PR3's are definitely more grippy in the wet, but they don't feel as "planted" as the Angels in the dry. When I first got the PR3s and leaned hard into a turn, it felt like the bike was going to fall over. (Not saying that there was any indication of slipping.) This could be because of round profile of the PR3s, but with the Angels, it feels like I can hang off the the edge of the bike and just yank myself back up after the apex.

Also, with the Angels, I ran 36/32 psi.
