Inner diameter oil lines?

I'm installing a Pegasus oil thermostat.

To find the correct adapters I need to know the inner diameter of the oil lines.

Do you know?

I was curious, not knowing for sure.

A search for "oil cooler line size" showed a common answer of -6.
But that's not a whole lot better than a rumor....

I'd wager Duck-Stew would know off the top of his head, he's done a number of oil-cooler mods.

What I keep reading is that AN6 adapters are used.
I guess that might be the same thing as a -6 line.

The outer diameter is .5" / 12.5 mm, but that's not enough info for Pegasus.

AN6 defines a thread size and fitting profile, but it's not the end the hose goes onto.
It's the end that threads onto (or into) another fitting or port.

-6 is the hose size, and it designates (approximately) the inner diameter of the hose, in 1/16".
So -6 hose is approximately 3/8" inner diameter.

All the oil cooler mods I've done used -6 hose & fittings.  I never measured but I'd wager the ID of the OE line is really close to -6...

That makes it a couple of maybe, probably & that's what I've read = close enough for this adventure.
