Maybe I should have had a lower minimum bid with a reserve, but hey, my heart really isn't in this if you know what I mean.

This seems a very fair price for such a top shelf Duc - you just might get it quicker than you think since you made your Monster such a stylish performer!  Wish I had the $$$, that's why I have a "Monster under my bed, whispering in my ear" instead of in the garage .. penury (look it up) sux !!

Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

Good luck on the sale of the S4RS, it's a shame you have to try and sell her.  Congrats on the MMI school admission, that looks to be a great experience

Thanks.  Yeah, I'll have to get to town soon.   [moto]   Will advise!   [drink]

I really want to check out the Country & Wester Bar & Grill at the Adolphus Hotel downtown.  Don't know about the parking situation there though.  Anyone know if there's decent bike parking there?

well...there's the sidewalk, if you're okay with a ticket...otherwise there's the parking garage.... bring $$ for parking...

downtown dallas sucks balls, man...on many levels, and parking is *definitely* one of them.   :-\  been to the rodeo bar for lunch many times...good food.  been a couple times for a beer after work... i know they have lots of peanuts, not much else, though.

Well, I just need parking, beer, and friends.  So the peaunuts are just lagniappe.

langiappe ...  Huh?   [bang]

Does that come with some kinda sauce?  Maybe a gravy or sumthin...  [evil]

I'd have to agree on the downtown thing; great places to hang out and eat but absolute hell on getting there and then parking.  Seriously, do all those people down there walk or do they live there?  I see no way the current road "system" / traffic situation allows for anything other than occassional use by anyone not within walking distance.  Pitiful.

O.K., end of rant.

Norris, if you decide to do a meet-up, I'll try my best to make it.  Sorry to see you go but it sounds like opportunity beakons [thumbsup]  Hopefully we'll see you back around here from time to time.

Sorry, I meant to write "lagniappe".  Being part dyslexic I find hard to believe if Dog.   [cheeky]

I'll run by the Adolphus and check out the lay of the land and put together a get together before I leave (IF I leave; not certain YET).

After school is over, I will be coming back home to Texas, so you'll still have to have lunch with me from time to time, and maybe a ride or two.

Norris - the Adolphus is a place I've been to many times but never on the bike!  It is pretty posh but they have a big drive in entrance on Commerce that really has good bike parking spots if the Doorman will accomodate you.  Accomodation likely depends on a 10 or 20 dollar bill.

If you are a fan of Walt Garrison you will like the Western Bar because it has been decorated with all his athletic and rodeo memorablia!  It is a bit like a Cowboy shrine !  This place is not cheap but the one time I did go here there were quite a few " Buckle Bunnies" looking for their next cowboy encounter.

Might be better to go in that ancient pick up of Scott's and wear chaps & a Stetson ! :D
