Run to Belfast

This weekends forcast for Ireland was for good dry weather the first in a very long time so I decided to make the most of it and head up to see my mum so I left home Killarney about midday Friday and was knocking on my mums front door at 5 pm just in time for dinner dry the hole way up fantastic the duc ran faultlessly but the powercommander has shaved a wee bit of the tank range 130 mls from full to the light comes on to about 120 mls but its still cheaper to take the duc on the 600 odd mile round trip than it is to take the integrale and when its not pouring rain a lot more fun. The run back home on Saturday was even better it was bright and sunny the whole way home couldn't have asked for better.
This was how she looked before I left.

It was boggin by the time I got back home but I spent this evening cleaning it.

Wow, that's a looong ride. So it took you about 5 hours to get from Killarney to Belfast? I've visited Belfast & Dublin, but I never drove there. I've read that if you want to drive from Dublin to Galway for instance, it could take you longer than you think because of congestion on the roads there. I think it was because of the one lane (each way) roads there. I would've thought going from Killarney to Belfast would take a lot longer after what I've read in the travel books.

Anyway, glad you guys get some clear days there. But I bet the view to Belfast was very scenic. Ireland is a beautiful country, even though the weather isn't too motorcycle friendly.

The seat cowl is from your side of the pond mat@choppers13 I think real nice bloke to deal with and it was exactly what I wanted to achive with my duc a cafe racer look.

I rode my bicycle from Galway to the Cliffs of Moher.  Also took slightly longer than 5 hours.
It was a bit wet (with 60 kph gale force winds shutting down ferries), here is a picture from when it "cleared up".

my friends said my pictures didn't look as rainy as I had reported, I told them I wasn't going to stop and take pictures in the downpours.

In the middle of one of the worst storms I passed by a local farmer, smiled and waved and said, "Lovely day!".  He looked at me incredulously and replied, "Well, it's a bit wet!".  I figured that meant we were having slightly worse weather than normal.
