It's one of those strange things. I like hamburgers. I like cheese. I like bacon, and I really love Krispy Kremes. But all together? I'm not sure.

I used to use day old doughnuts. Cook up a pound of bacon, slice up doughnuts lengthwise and warm in the leftover grease to get a bit crispy. Turn into a samich with a fried egg (cooked in the grease as well) if desired.


Another note, I just picked up 8 pounds of bacon to give as a birthday gift on Sunday.

bacon (as just sliced pork) is easy. But, their idea of bacon doesn't involve curing, smoking, or anything like that.

It's a present for a Brazilian mother of a friend of mine who lives out here and can't find good bacon.
