I love living in Europe. I'm so going to miss hitting the cruise control at that speed  [evil]

I see plenty of real estate left on that speedo.  [coffee]

I can't wait until Marquez gets on his level and makes Jorge trip on his tampon string.

yeah ,speedos are always very optimistic though.

i used to have a stereo with a volume dial that went up to 11, but in reality it only would go up to 10.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

haha! well put.  The other day I was sitting outside a cafe and overheard some guys that were admiring my bike ('01 S4). One of them looks at the speedo and says to his buddies, "oh, it'll do 160..."

Yeah... It'll do 160;)

in "k" mode ?

???

Jetta is a 2012 GLI model and I've had it to 110 w/PLENTY of rev's left in 6th gear and it's reported to do 145 although I've never been there....    yet.

Betty, OTOH, has an issue w/the DP ecu.  Seems I'm still running lean at higher rpm's so this winter, it'll get a power commander and a custom map to extend my rev ceiling...

unless you got rid of it the speed limiter should hit at around 130. When we had our GTI for some reason the speed limiter was 140, nice and stable at that speed too. Just ask the MooseHumper, he wanted one after getting to drive it.
Why he got that chick car instead, we'll never know.  [cheeky]

Personally...  The GLI is just a cage.  A fun one, but still just a cage.  If I'm going to get 'popped' by the po-po, it won't be for much over the limit in that thing.  I've got no drive to push that thing to it's absolute limit.  I got the '145mph' quote from a guy at the dealership when I bought it, so that info is suspect right there...
