Thanksgiving is my favorite day of the year. I have a stuffed turkey, called Tom, that I take pictures of all day in various places. The fridge, the roaster, hugging a champagne bottle, etc. He gobbles when squeezed! New this year is a very tacky and ugly turkey hat. Think Viking hat with turkey legs instead of horns. I will wear it with pride.

For me, Thanksgiving is a day of friends, friends that are family. I do not have much in the way of actual family, and my friends have filled that roll for me. I like the act of preparing a meal for them and saying something nice about each person at the table. To me, Thanksgiving is a day to celebrate those we love and hold dear. I have my stuffed Tom, the turkey platter, the soup tureen, the hand towels, and all the rest. What I really have are friends who love me and friends I love more then life.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all. My Monster family has been here for me since April of 2000. You are a big part of my day and each morning starts with the DMF and coffee!

Well I didn't know this until today but we have a Thanksgiving day in Oz.

Source Wiki (of course)
"In the Australian external territory of Norfolk Island, Thanksgiving is celebrated on the last Wednesday of November, similar to the pre-World War II American observance on the last Thursday of the month. This means the Norfolk Island observance is the day before or six days after the United States' observance. The holiday was brought to the island by visiting American whaling ships."

Happy Thanksgiving! This will be the first year I don't celebrate, last year I took the day off from work and we had dinner at our expat church.

So thankful everyone had a nice Thanksgiving Dinner.
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.
