Hi there  :D

Name's pretty self explanatory. I hope.
Been riding a while - about 29 years.
Had a few bikes, including bevels, guzzis, laverdas, inline jap 4's, singles and twins and no harleys [thumbsup]

This is the first Monster owned - a 2000 MS4 with low km. It's not bad for a 916, nice and torquey.

Came here to research more on the particulars of this chassis and 916 engine, as it is not like my previous 916sps.

Only have two complaints:

The riding position is crap, because the bike has aftermarket bars on it (aero) and the headlight is also sh**.

I've already put a pair of staintunes on it, so it sounds nice, but now I'm looking for better headlight(s) for it. Cosmetically it's in pretty good shape.

Can't seem to find any bars for it, so thinking about clipons, which is diametrically opposed to the original intent of purchase. Anyone got some bars with more rake and height?

See you round here.

welcome to the board!

if your issue with the headlight is brightness, someone out there has started making a kit which goes in the stock headlight bucket and is apparently a LOT brighter. i just cant remember who it is right now (maybe Motowheels?)

if you post your questions in the tech and/or accessories and mods section, you will get a bunch of useful information. [thumbsup]
Never wrestle with pigs. You both get dirty, and the pigs like it...

Welcome.
Check out Motowheels and Monsterparts (sponsors) for handlebar  and headlight options. I just went with a high tech globe from an auto parts store.
