My backyard neighborhood this afternoon:

A woodpecker (Red Bellied) building a nest in a tree:

Step 1 - Dig out some wood shavings.


Step 2 - Fling them about.


Step 3 - Watch them flutter to the ground.

What I like about the Richo GR is that it has the same size sensor (i.e. picture quality) and features as a DSLR, but is in a modest body.  So it is smaller and easier to carry and also doesn't look like something expensive someone would want to steal.
