That would be my first thought too.

What do you mean 'keep blowing off the horizontal throttle body'?

Sometimes when trying to start it, backfires through the intake... Throttle body comes out of the boot just enough to send me chasing my tail with the mixture.

Pulled fuel out, ran worse yet. I'm thinking back to fuel for the first run and add more advance. I'm triggering of the back side (falling edge) of tooth 18 (330 degrees of 720).

It wouldn't rev over 6k out so until I gave it more advance (33.7 @ 6, 35.2 @ 7, 36.2 @ 8).

And that's a wrap. It's not getting figured out in the next hour for damn sure. Next year...

That's racing... I'll get it figured out next weekend...

I fell over pulling it off the dyno once... that was 45 minutes or so of welding/repair.

Also, it turns out that if you intend to bump start the bike from the spinning dyno wheel that the bike should be tied to prevent movement in both directions.  :o

Shit...

The blower bike needs a total re-think. Somebody just bumped all the blown 500 records up over theoretical max speed.

Speeddog

Which classes?

SCTA doesn't show any records set this year on their website.  ???

M-BF 500 - 181.xxx
M-BG 500 - 166.xxx
MPS-BG 500 - 172.xxx

And I think MPS-BF was bumped whenever that guy was out last... World of Speed 2014, maybe?

Records set during Speedweek came out in the BNI newsletter in my email today.

It's based on a 1000DS, so long stroke, not so many RPMs. I think it would take a fair amount of nitro to make that kind of speed on the tall gears I'd need for that.

Paul Hodgson's bike is based on an FZR600.
I don't think you have enough cylinders to get the job done against an I-4.

My records with a Nitrous boosted Yamaha V-Twin got caned by I-4's.

748 heads, jugs sleeved to 87mm bore, 749R crank gives a 642cc L-twin.
Blown by whatever you like, roots, centrifugal, or turbo.
But it'll have to be capable of 200+ to get the job done.
It'd have to be ~120HP and absolute minimum frontal area with a body like Hudson's bike.

Combine my bike's low frontal area:

With a tail like Hudson's (which we couldn't run back then, it'd have made it heaps easier and faster):

Yeah, pretty much my thoughts.

He can't have used that tail in M, though... Altered only for the long tail bikes.

And I'm not talking bottle, but juice. :)
