[laugh]  Ya never know...
Best enhancement I saw was when Lyndy sat on it for the first time  [thumbsup]
Hope she loves it.

Thanks!

I'd like her to at least get her MC license before planning any rides!  But I know it'll be tough!

+1 on that.  I took a two-day riding class so all I had to do was take the written test; best money I spent when getting started - aside from good riding boots and a helmet of course  [laugh]

Yep, totally the way to go. Those classes are filling up like crazy so plan ahead. ( http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/classifieds/news/automotive/latestnews/stories/070108dnmetcycles.4111f15.html )

If you decide to skip the MSF class and take the DMVs riding test, I heard a rumor that there's a 2 month waiting list.

BTW, congrats on the new member to the family Jim. Way cool!  [thumbsup]

Yeah, Lyndy wouldn't settle for anything other than a Ducati either.  [thumbsup]

Great ride. Sarah's taking the safety class July 11th and it's starting to sounds like I'm in the same boat. She only fits on the Monsters. Sigh. I'm gonna need a bigger garage.

But wait a second, I don't remember Tommy having this bike. When did he get it?

This was Bonnie's first bike, but I just did the posting on Craigslist all money went to the mother-in-law [bang] so unfortunately I'm no closer to a 1098s.  But it will happen......oh yes, it will be mine [evil]

+1 to all of those points.  She plans on signing up for a riding class ASAP to get a good skill base, and to avoid the DMV driving test.  She's also shopping for gear now as well.   [thumbsup]

Look down at the bike list.....  it was around the corner in the mother-in-laws garage.

did you ever have problems with the base gasket on the rear cylinder?  that was a widespread problem for this model/year....both of my '01 monsters had to have the rear cylinder pulled and redo the gasket...didn't affect the 900 but it did cause some headaches for lots of 600 and 750 owners.  my 600 had to have it done at about 12k miles, and my 750 just gave out suddenly at about 8500 miles.  on the bright side when i got it back from AMS the 750 ran even better...it just cost about $700   :-\

just something to be mindful of, if the base gasket on the rear cylinder is still original.

Double congrats to Jim and Lyndy for the purchase and Tommy and Bonnie for the sale.  These bikes are getting new homes but remaining in the family.  Cher's Monster and IPimp's SC are also part of the musical chairs of bikes.

BTW Jim, let me recommend the TCC MSF course.  The guy who runs the program is a friend of mine.  Really good guy who taught my sons.  Ask about the program and I will mention Lyndy's name to him.  You never know what he can do to accomodate her.
