Toll Tag Sticker Options

Anyone have a good alternative for placing toll tag stickers on their bikes? I've been getting photographed and billed by the North Texas Tollway Authority and finally got a tolltag.  Just don't want to stick it to my bike. Thinking about putting it in plastic and attaching it to my key chain or wearing it around my neck like dog tags.  Suggestions?

Use a tank bag?  A friend of mine put it on an empty CD case and slid it in the clear pocket on his tank bag and it worked great for his local systems.

I got this straight from the North Texas Toll Authority when I got my toll tag: Once you have applied for and received your toll tag you do NOT need to put it on your bike. When you go through the booth your license plate will be photographed and compared to their data base, when the computer sees that you have a toll tag they will debit your account at the lower toll tag rate.

I have been going through them for 2 years with my registered license plate and no tag on the bike and I have never received a notice in the mail that I owe.

Do you have to have front license plate?

edit: I'm curious. Down here in Indonesia, every vehicle must have front and rear license plate displayed. But I never have/placed front license plate on my motorcycle, not on my sportster nor my monster. Got stopped by cops a couple of times, but they always let me go cause I always tell them:" Yes officer I know I don't have plate there... just issue me the ticket."

What Mhanis said. It has happened numerous times with my car in the North East with their ez-pass. I don't like to stick the thing on the windshield, so it just sits in the glove box. Most times it picks up, but the few times it doesn't, they snap the plate and deduct from my account.

No plate in the front in the US for bikes. In most states, you don't have them for the car either.

Bob,

They snap a picture of the rear plate as you go through the booth. Like was already pointed out, no front plate on bikes here.

Mine is in a plastic bag in the seat storage.  No issues with the toll road authority going on 3 years now.

if you register the plates no need to bother.  I don't have tolltags on my bikes and it's never been a problem for over 3 years.

Thanks everyone.  I'm going to try it without the tolltag sticker and see if the tolls automatically get charged to my account.

I'll show you sometime how to "avoid" them too.  :o

WRT where to mount the tag....I used the 'velcro' strips that came with the EZ Pass tag and mounted in on the inside of the fairing, not the 'windshield'.  Works fine and no ugly strips on the clear plastic.
