After researching some options for exhaust on the evo, I came to the conclusion that I don't actually like any of them. The termis are crazy expensive and I still don't actually like them.

My main goal is aesthetics, weight, and cat-delete.

Doing some measuring the outlet on the evo mid pipe is 60mm with the slipon outlet measuring 50mm. I searched around other bike models non-Ducati to see if any other models used a pipe that gigantic.

The bmw s1000rr uses a very similar mounting design as well as location. Slip on inlet is 60mm and outlet is 50mm. The idea is to modify the pipe for the bmw to fit the monster. Specifically the bmw uses a cat outside of the silencer so all silencers available for the s1000 will for sure not use a catalytic converter.

This is the pipe I chose.

Here is the routing and location for the evo

And routing for the bmw

One it gets here I can get to work on see what kind of bends or resizing pipes will need in order to make it fit. But it will take some work.

Way to think outside the box!  This is my kind of mod.  Keep us posted [thumbsup]

Very nice... looking forward to seeing it mounted.  And I agree that most of the EVO aftermarket exhausts look like ass... lol.  I ended up with an arrow carbon that I like well enough, but I'd like it better if the mid-pipe was longer and higher so I could put the arrow can in line with the seat and right at the top of the wheel tucked under the passenger peg.  I may have my own mid-pipe fabbed.  Or not... lol.

It's like they are all either way too bulbous or stick out too far. The comp werks was the most tolerable to me. But super short, extremely raspy IMO, and doesn't really go with the bikes design and I have a hard time spending that much coin on an exhaust if I don't like it 100%.

Looks like a lead time of 2 weeks. So I'll keep y'all updated. And I'll make sure to have a weight comparison.

Here is a pic of my Arrow carbon.  I really like it, A LOT, though as I said I just wish it was a bit higher so the wheel could show.

Now I don't have exact length dimensions of the slip on but I am estimating the end of the silencer to stop where the passenger foot peg is so it has something to hold it up.

It will still cover the wheel just a tad. The spark high mounts LOOK nice but didn't quite check off on the weight loss department. Quite the opposite really. And came with a hefty price tag.

The arrow certainly looks nice. But I think I'm more into this route because its something slightly different.

Plus 2-1's sound sick.

Did you look at the shift tech carbon short?
That's what I am getting and it's similar to what you are doing.

Actually I don't believe I had seen this variation. The shift tech one I had seen had the old school style end cap but maybe I'm mistaking I actually kind of like that one.

I almost did the Shift tech 2.  I like that can a lot, but you have to remove the passenger peg, which I did not want to do.  The shift tech 1 keeps the passenger peg, but I didn't care for the cone between the can and the mid-pipe.  I think I probably would have done the 2nd version if it wasn't for losing that passenger peg though.

I'm happy with the arrow, but I'm really interested in seeing what this BMW Termic looks like for you.  I bet it's going to look sharp.

The shift tech 2 was the one I was actually most attracted to because it didn't use the passenger peg as a hanger. So you could take the passenger pegs off when not in use. However, I didn't see that one until after I bought the termi.

I've been thinking about what to use to mount the can. I contacted shift-tech to see if they will sell that heel plate individually and it looks like they will for $70.
