They fly out of Bonanza OR which is just a short drive from here, so I booked a flight in cargo to go to Elko on vacation.

They don't fly in/out of Denver, but some of the destinations sound familiar.

But I see that you stepped up and booked 'cargo' class.  Was that around $6K?

It was only $98 and 26 hrs travel time. ( I could drive to Elko for about $98 in about 6 or 7 hours) they have casino with a buffet an a hotel so therefore its a great vacation destination.

How much is the buffet?

Not really sure. I just stopped in Elko to get gas and stretch last year and saw the Casino. The town was much larger than I thought it was. I don't know what draws people to the middle of the dessert like that though.

You could ask for a DMF discount at the buffet and see what they say.

There is a fair amount of mining in that area - gold primarily.

My cousin is the accountant for one of the casinos in the Elko area.  She grew up in Hawthorne Nevade, so Elko was a big improvement in scenery.  My wife and I stayed at an old Casiino in Winnemucca, NV a bunch of years ago.  It was old and run down but we had a great time.  They had a good band in the bar, free drink chits, the slots were fairly loose and we had a great meal at a Basque restaurant in town. 

I was hoping that the airlines had a flight out of Zittau, WI direct to Elko so I could visit my cousin. No such luck though.
