I'm a Sanp-on dealer and I was in one of my shops and listening to the owner and a customer of this having this conversation.

" I love the car...I'm just really dissapointed that there's no room for my golf clubs.  In my turbo I can fit two sets behind the seats and have a passenger"

The owner of the shop replied " Well..put your clubs in the passenger seat and have your friend drive his own Lambo to the country club."

The car with the "problem" was a 2013 Lambo Gallardo Spyder in metallic green.  His other car is a 2013 Porsche Turbo convertible. I was told he also owns  several Ferraris (including a F50 and an Enzo) and  a has a Huayra on order.

I guess every one has problems!

The Lambo/golf club story makes me all verklempt and teary eyed. I wish I could feel his pain but I'm busy... need to drive my truck and pick up some BBQ sandwiches for lunch. Thank God it has room in the cab for BBQ!

My sister lives in an affluent neighborhood, so I frequently see a bunch of hi-end sports cars when I ride out for a visit.  Lots of nice country roads out there so I usually will go for long rides in the area.  At least 3-7 times during my rides I get stuck behind a 911, maserati, corvette, etc.  And fellows, I'm not an advanced rider going through corners like Agostini; probably 10-20 over the speed limit which is pretty tame if you ask me.  Who gets in their 911 Turbo for a sunday drive and goes 38 in a 35?

What is the point of a race car if you never use it?  Just get a S-class or 7-series or whatever.  [Rhetorical question of courses; the answer is 'status & attention']  Frankly, I would add $100k to the price of any sports car I'd consider buying because I would only really use it on the track and hence would need serious track money.

People that drive those cars everyday. After a while it's just a car. And you can't drive around the neighborhood going 100 MPH all the time. Unless you are the Beib.

Also I'd expect an exotic to catch the eye of the law going just a slight bit over than something like a Corolla going 15 over.
If I could swing something like a Porsche right now, I'd most likely tend to drive it fairly sedately on the street and then beat the piss out of the thing on the track.

To be clear: my point was not that they should drive fast, just that it seems like a waste of a machine designed specifically for driving.

Back to OP: if he insists on using the lambo to go to the course, he should just buy a second set of clubs to keep there.

Same thing I love about the Cagiva.  It's geared all wrong for the highway, so 75 mph might as well be light speed.  Good thing most of my riding is on 50-60 mph country roads.
