This makes me sad: after topping the charts in FP1, a hard crash in FP2 lands Lorenzo on his broken collar bone. From the MotoGP report, "Just 15 days after breaking his left collarbone at Assen, Lorenzo’s latest accident has resulted in damage to the titanium plate in the champion’s left shoulder; a further operation is now required."

Story at http://www.motogp.com/en/news/2013/Lorenzo%20participation%20in%20doubt%20after%20Sachsenring%20crash

Sounds like Dovi, Nicky, Iannone and Crutchlow had offs as well, Cal's sounds like the worst but he is not (badly) injured, I couldn't find any word on Dovi, Nicky or Andrea, aside from the fact that the latter's bike broke in half.   [thumbsdown]

Didn't see Nicky's crash, but Dovi and Cal's were big, and Lorenzo got some altitude.

Today in MotoGP:

Dani crashes hard on his left collarbone. XRay at track shows no break but then Dani is airlifted out for another xRay and CT scan after complaining of "feeling faint".

Aleix Espargaro in 2nd in FP3. Yes...I just said a CRT bike is in second behind only 1 factory Honda (Marquez).

In FP4, Rossi ends up on top with Espargaro back down to 6th but still faster than all of the Ducatis.
Good thing Audi is really flexing their R&D muscle at their "home" race...if your goal is having the most and most spectacular crashes of the weekend.

Screw the Silly Season...this thing is the Silly Race...

Wish I had the MotoGP subscription to keep up with this weekend.

Seems it's been one hell of a bruiser  :P

edit: oh and Espargaro really deserves a better machine... as in not a Ducati

Espargo  :o

MM, Rossi and Crutchlow fighting for the championship?!

I have to say that outside the fact that Lorenzo and Pedrosa are injured, I love the drama that this year has brought. With those 2 possibly missing some races, it allows the others to catch up and make it a real dog fight for points!

He'll need a better start than he's been getting when he's had good grid position.

Yeah he's certainly giving 'em a head start which he can't afford.

Goodness. How things just got interesting in MotoGP. [popcorn] [Dolph] Nothing like a few crash injuries to throw a wrench in the works... that is Championship-wise.

And by the way, where the hell did that fast CRT Aspar come from?

I enjoy hearing Cal's interview's but not a fan.  Despite that, it was a great podium position for Cal.

Very happy Rossi in podium.  Too bad the tyre sliding issue plagued him here.

Dovi - well my other fav, I wonder what he thinks about his move to Ducati.  I am sure the $ is good but....

It was really great to see Esparagro fighting with the first 3 racers in the the first few laps.  Surprised he is not snatched to factory ahead of his brother.

Wishing win or podium for Rossi in Leguna Seca!

He's been that fast all season.  Germany has no long straights, which is where they lose out on most tracks.  They also have softer tires than the factory boys to make up ground in the corners.
