So many less then skilled riders out there. This is another reason lanesplitting is a good thing. Teaches you how to skim right by without a problem.

Living out in the country, I get to deal with this all the time... cars stopping to turn left off a 60-mph 2-lane highway.

One of those things about riding bikes, we gotta be responsible not just to look out for ourselves, but all the other folks on the road, too.  They're sure as he!! not lookin' out for us.

For all the jokes about loud pipes or clutches saving lives, it's really a combination of proper gear and hyper-vigilance that saves lives.
