but not happy the direction they went with the new gen, will likely wait til the next gen to buy

Got both and just use Xbox now because I'm too lazy to turn on the PS3.

the kinect really opened up the gaming experience for our family.
we have a good time all together on rainey days with it

for online yes you do have to pay.

On the Xbox you get a better online experience mostly because you need to pay for it.
