Perhaps it was an impossible dream, but I'd hoped to avoid all spoilers concerning the identity of the next Doctor. I removed all Dr Who pages from FB, removed BBC from my favorites list on uverse, and deleted the links to my favorite Dr Who pages.  I didn't expect to have it ruined on the first day by a thread title on the DMF.

Oh well, it was worth a shot.  I'm going to see if I can make it until the special to hear the name again. If I do, then it will be this thread that ruined it.

I haven't given a shit about Dr. Who since Tom Baker...

but Niall, you really should have some respect for the people that don't get to see it until after you .

 +1 to Tom Baker, he was the shizznit.
I grew up watching him with my dad, one of the few things we both enjoyed at the time.
But, i've liked all of the new Dr's so far, Matt Smith a bit less than the others though.

I liked Matt smith, nowhere near as much as David as he was the best of the modern doctors.

I just couldn't get over Matt's gigantic head and overly square jaw. It bugged me.

I'd love to have the Baker episodes on disc.....

I really haven't cared to watch it since seeing all the TB stuff in the 80s. The new stuff doesn't have the right feel to it....hard to describe.

There was an official announcement DP . They haven't aired any new episodes yet.

The only Dr I didn't like was the   movie one.
Tennant is my favourite modern Dr
the Christmas special is gonna be good.
