Since Homo Sapiens walked erect, we are responsible for the wheel, created fire, put men on the moon, cloned animals, mapped our DNA, grew body parts on mice, repaired our body with animal parts, and the list abounds, but we can't manufacture a MF gas can that doesn't leak?  [bang]

Nice, but I can remove the accompanied POS nozzle and free pour via a funnel. Or is that dangerous, too? Barring any open flame, cigarette, fireworks, magnifying glass directing sunlight towards the tank opening, etc.

BTW, nice username.

If you're fueling your bike at home, look into something folks use at the track.

I, too, hate the newer mandated "vapor control" nozzles.  They leak like a sieve.  On my "to purchase" list are official OSHA-approved cans.  They're more expensive, but they're much better engineered than the crap at the hardware store.

So fed up with getting diesel all over the place when I need to fill up the tractor...  [bang]  I'm gonna be ordering one of those Type II's for gas and a yellow one for diesel.

A few years ago after my Dad passed away I was cleaning out his airplane hangar and found several "old school" plastic flexible spouts for 5+ gallon gas cans. All new in their packages. Guess my Dad could see the writing on the wall with the new "safety spouts" and stocked up while he could. So I am set for life... got that going for me. [thumbsup] ;)
I plan to list the Federal Gov't. as a dependent on my next 1040 tax filing!

I have flying honey badgers and I'm not afraid to use them!

The fact that flame throwers exist is proof that someone somewhere said "I'd sure like to set those people over there on fire but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

CONFIDENCE: the feeling you have right before you understand the situation.

That's not expensive...that's ridiculous.

Unfortunately, that's the cost of doing business in the certificated world. <shrug>  If you are using gas cans for business, you are required to use OSHA-approved hazardous material containers.  If you drive around with them, they're supposed to be both OSHA and DOT approved.

Think those cans are expensive, try shopping for a metal "flammable material" cabinet.  It's a yellow-painted metal tool cabinet, but they want $1000 and up for those bloody things.
