Anyone want to buy a 2007 Ducati 1098? Asking $14,500. I paid $20K. Has full Termis, less than 2k miles. HID lights, Pazzo levers, mirror extenders, Evolution throttle. It's been down, but repaired and in excellent shape. I have title in hand.

I have mixed feelings regarding this sale. It's not a necessity, but more of a logical decision.

I'm buying another home this month and would prefer to use the funding to improve the new place. I have to put hardwood floors, new carpet, new fence, etc......

Also, my present home will be for rent within the next three months if anyone is interested. 4br - 2 1/2ba - 3la - 2 car garage. 2,745 square feet. Asking $1800/mo ..... did I mention I have it wired for two home theaters and a 225 square foot covered patio with same sq ft. porch over it? [thumbsup]

Barry, sorry to hear that the 1098 has to go, but it's understandable that you have to get the new house in order.  Be sure to let us know when the house warming party is [thumbsup]

Damn Rich, getting out of downtown may be the best solution.

I know. It's a hard decision, but there will be another one day. At least I still have another bike.  ;D

You see, this is the best way to get what you want without pissing off the significant other. [thumbsup]

The house I'm renting is in North West Plano off of 121 and Coit. It's borderline Frisco. Actually, it's Frisco school district, but city of Plano address. It may not be downtown, but it doesn't take long to get there from here. I'm about 10minutes from the tollway, about 15mins from 75 and 2mins to 121. If you want to map it, the address is :

4417 Ridge Point Lane

do you finance?

Sorry, but no. Kinda defeats the purpose of selling for the cash if I do that. Have you tried checking with your bank for financing? I know most banks have decent rates for motorcycles.

I usually like to live with as little debt as possible.  ;D

Sorry to hear you have to sell the bike, Barry...

Good luck, though, with the sale of the bike and fixing up the new home.  [thumbsup]

I know that there are a few of us wanting SBK's.  [evil]

calscrazy

sry you gotta sell. but family first and what momma says goes!!!
i'm still workin on the spouse for a superbike. she believes if it has full fairings then it's a race bike. however i have gotten the go ahead for a monster upgrade next summer on one condition; i have to sell the one i have. so it's gonna be a tough decision because i don't think i could get my exhaust to look right on a s2r or s4r. plus the 695 is an absolute blast to ride.
home will always be between the red and rio!!!

I should say so! You were doing a nice SBK pace on the Monster when I was following you on the Muenster run. You were keeping a nice speed and line through the turns. I enjoyed riding behind you, was a relaxed yet fast pace. Nothing stupid just good old fashioned fast, safe fun! [thumbsup] Does it get any better? [moto]

Sad to hear the 1098 go Barry but you still have the VFR.  Hang around the board though and show up for meets when you can.  We still have to do the photoshoot at Isabella's.

I know. I figure as long as I still have one bike, I'll be happy. The Ducati is a wonderful bike, but it also is not the most practical for daily use. So, the VFR was an easy decision to keep. If I play my cards right, I might get a monster in the future. At least now I can say I've owned a Ducati SBK. ;D
I'm in no rush to sell. It is just something that makes sense to me right now. It makes great sense to my wife! Lol.... [laugh] [laugh] [laugh]

Funny how everyone wants a Monster, old superbike owners and even new superbike owners.
