I feel kinda sorry for the kiddos who witnessed that... but yeah, gotta learn about the circle of life sometime.

It'll be interesting raising kids out here in the sticks.  They'll have to become aware of the predator-prey hierarchy at a young age.  There are mountain lions out here, and to them, young humans are prey.

Mountain lion, black bear, deer, rabbits, mice, hawks, eagles, owls, coyotes... even bison at the ranch across the road.
