to me it looked more like he slipped off the bike transitioning his body in set up for the turn....

That's what it looked like to me too.  Did a big body move and all of a sudden something just wasn't there when he expected it to be. More like he threw himself off instead of slipping though. Probably just pissed at himself. I would be too. [cheeky]
No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

Thank you for saying that, it looked the same way to me and I thought I was crazy. He is saying it was a braking problem though:

no offense guys... but you are crazy.   :)

no GP rider is ever going to randomly fall off his bike.
Like this is the racing, no?

he just did it very well.  rewatch it, you can see him decide to bail.

never in a million years is one of these guys going to slip off a peg or something to the extent that they actually fall off, at least in a straight line and while not in contact with anything/anyone else.

Crutchlow said that he, Rossi and Espargaro all had brake issues.

Those three are also the heaviest riders on the grid, at a track that they allow 340mm discs at because the track is so braking-intensive.
