Okay this is just funny.  I went to pull off my stock belt covers (2013 M1100) to put on my shiny new ones and quickly noticed that there is a single security head bolt.  Even better it seems to be the one I am missing from my super deluxe Harbor Freight kit.

Got to love an entire bike full of bolts and I find the one that I can't find a wrench to today lol.     [roll]

I did not find that to be the case on my 2012 1100 EVO. I wonder if anyone else has either? Out of curiosity I looked at the parts fische and then crossed to a site which gave nomenclature and found no mention of a security head bolt. I'm guessing it is a security Torx? Also guessing someone substituted it for the correct one.

Not trying to be funny, but you seem to have had a run of bad luck with accessories and fitting of same.

The belt covers have not been off even once yet and yes, it is a security Torx...   As for the run of bad luck on accessories?  If you only knew.....  I have had multiple things that were supposed to fit that did not.  I am finding that the 2013 is a unique beast.  Not like the 2012 in so many tiny little areas.  Modding the exhaust to fit the aftermarket rear sets was due to two aftermarket things that were not compatible...  Only cost me 1300.00 for Rev rearsets and an exhaust mod.  [bang]

The guys at Moto Wheels are learning what does and does not fit a 2013 M1100 from me.....  Or so they say.  [laugh]

So does having a one year of a kind Duc make it more or less valuable?   ;D  Glad I am keeping all the stock parts as the accessory list has gotten a bit out of hand.  Should I need to return it to stock or need to buy a small island somewhere I can sell the accessories lol.
