I have a couple questions that you guys may be able to assist me with.

I have been looking for the MWR Air Filter kit for my 796. I can only find it on proitalia.com. I am just curious if anyone has any experience dealing with that site (I am always weary of dealing with a new store). I am also curious if anyone knows of anywhere else that sells this filter kit at a better price. I am also debating if I should just get a K&N Filter with the MWR power up kit. Are the extra dollars for the filter kit worth it?

I have been doing a lot of research on the mods I am about to complete. I just purchased the Vance and Hines CS one Slip-ons for my 796. I also ordered an ECU reflash from Motowheels. I plan on getting the Bazzaz Z-FI unit a couple months down the road. From what I have read, It looks like my best options would be to get rid of the O2 sensors, exhaust flapper, and raise the rev limiter to a safe limit.

Is there anything wrong with my plan?

ProItalia is not new . . . I have purchased from them a lot . . . they even called me once to let me know they had an error on the amount showing and that if I wanted the part, it would be billed when it arrived/shipped . ..  can't complain . ..

Thanks for the reply. I meant new to me.....

I think I may just get the power up kit and a k&n filter.

What do you think about the rest of my plan.

My thought process is if I want to change things up in the future, I can get a pcv or bazzaz to adjust fueling throughout the whole rpm range. I also don't have to worry about the exhaust flapper. Am I on the right path?

I personally think the best tune is done ON a dyno and not just downloading a map into your ECU . . . That would be my recommendation; dyno time and dyno $$$ is, if done right the best $$$ spent.

I don't like taxing the electronics with piggy back devices . . . I have used one in the past, the Dobeck and it did wonders on my bike, but, that's it . . . took it off due to a higher fuel consumption

The only problem with that is I am stationed in Hawaii. I don't know of any place that can tune the ECU. I am up for orders right now, and am trying to get over to Stuttgart, Germany or Naples Italy. Either one of those would be beneficial to my Duc, but hurt my wallet!

well in Germany you would have many options and in Italy too . .  In the meantjme, a Rexxer tune would help you a lot
