Well I can't speak for Toyota but I've noticed a huuuuuge difference in quality between parts store stuff and what Honda sells.

I probably went through two sets of pads and rotors vs one Honda set in the same mileage. Not 2x the price either.

Just a thought.

Always consider OEM in my parts options.  I've seen some pretty shoddy parts store junk out there.

I never get the cheapest parts store option, and for pads I always get something with a lifetime warranty. And use it...repeatedly lol.

Still haven't pulled the trigger, I'm talking to a company called Brakemotive that is very well regarded on the Ls1tech forum about slotted rotors and pads right now.

No, but the price is right and the feedback is good. She's going to be a test dummy for these too as I may get a nickel plated set with black hats for my souped up Pontiac GT. I wouldn't put them on her car if I thought safety was going to be an issue either.

I was thinking the same thing.  

Using slotted/drilled rotors of the same size as stock reduces the amount of friction available due to less surface area in contact with the pads.  You would need to upsize the rotor at a minimum to see any benefit over stock.

Go with a high quality stock type rotor and some premium pads.

Or maybe you're married to Danica Patrick...                 [thumbsup]

The manufacturer touted various studies published in SAE technical papers, and being a reasonable person I of course looked for objective criticism of those studies. She'll be fine. My wife and son ride in that car, ya know... :)

The only 2 drawbacks are the increased areas for corrosion to set in bc of this shit OH weather, and the slight sacrifice in initial bite because she tail gates, lol.
