I'm actually looking at a Lil-Guy camper.  Small teardrop camper that looks pretty well thought out.

Dave was quite close on used, and I was quite close on new. 
That's a good deal on what appears to be a very lightly used bus.

I'm surprised the interior is so..... traditional.
It's farkin' nice, for sure.
But I'm perilously close to the target market ( 'cept for the 'no money' part) and the interior style is a deal-breaker.

I dont like the westfalias because for some reason its often one of those that is holding up a line of 17 cars including a chip truck and and a pepsi truck. Do they go faster than 47 Mph?

lol yes they do, but when you're headed home from the cannabis bar, why do you need to go faster?

no really, the early models had the same engine as the bug.  the later Vanagon models had a type 4 engine, basically the same as a porsche 914.  plenty of folks have put bigger or more modern engines in them.

the golf tdi engine is a good example, it can be operated at up to a 50 degree angle, so it's a perfect solution.  and it will go plenty fast, but bear in mind it is essentially like driving a loaf of bread.

Well I figured that some of it had to do with the state of mind of the person driving it. You know if they aren't in any hurry to drive to Comptche to score more weed then why should anybody else be in a hurry?

I don't mind them too much, except for when they are in front of me.
