With the up-coming Fall Hill Country ride now but a mere 15 weeks away,  [roll]  I was wondering if any of you excessively gifted artist sorts could possibly come up with an event-specific T-Shirt design and - hopefully - a kick-ass LSD logo (roll 'em both out at the same time...  ;D  ).

I have nothing specific in mind other than maybe working "What a long, strange trip its been" into the "official" Fall Hill Country commorative T-Shirt design somehow.

Any takers?

OK, you knew this was coming for my logo idea  [thumbsup] :

That pic is scary as hell. Now I'm gonna have trouble going to sleep tonight because of that. Thanks! >:(

Now that Jesus has offered to help with the HC video editing (thanks man!  [thumbsup]), I'll have a clean slate for "special projects".

Are you thinking of getting these screen printed, or were you thinking lo-fi inkjet transfers? The inkjet transfers are cheap, but you get what you pay for. If we want better quality, we'll need to find out what's an acceptable price point.. The number of colors used might be a factor and it's helpful to know what sort of palette is available before going too far into the design.

Another thought just occurred to me (I know, 2 in one day... I'm on a freakin' roll!). The best part of Jason's pint glass swag was the surprise. Maybe whoever has design ideas or samples could keep it on the down-lo and save the unveiling for the event? Just a thought. Probably my last for the day.

George, that picture is hilarious!  But somehow I don't think it's the image we want to convey (if he only had on some Sidis...) [laugh]

Will,  I'm thinking screen printed.  I've got a good screen printer I've used in past years for several different projects.  They are reasonably priced and do EXCELLENT work.

What would be kinda cool for the Hill Country trip T, is a tie-dyed shirt with maybe a one color design... whatever the new LSD Logo is gonna be printed small on the upper left, front.  Then maybe a big full-scale version of the same thing with the date above this design and whatever text we might want to use below.

MurDuc had some clever ideas - the Lone Star beer label design was pretty cool.

Hell, I don't know - biut I'm willing to help  [bang]  [laugh]  Just let me know  ;D

P.S.  Your idea about surprising folks with a design is great too... Decisions, decisions.

i like the idea of the surprise. we have some talented people and i think that would be cool if we made that a tradition just to surprise everyone with a t-shirt or beer mug.

george was that before you started working out got the haircut and intervention from dr.phil. very nice [thumbsup]

If a surpise, I'd think we'd need to select a small panel of judges - and inner circle of sorts - which would review any "designs", vote, and select the final design.

(dang, this is starting to sound like a "club".  If someone breaks out the officer list and bylaws, I'm blocking access to this forum from all my computers.)

My sister-in-law has sublimation(?)printing business. Near photo quality images on shirts. I think I can swing a deal.

With all due respect to the esteemed LSDer from the West, I make a motion that we form a committee to explore the possibility of a design committee, to be overseen by a judicial panel, comprised of no less than a quorum of the roll call, to be seated only after a long series of fair and impartial hearings, and a unanimous vote [roll]
