  Don't get me wrong I dig on a lot of the stuff China makes for our bikes. But why on earth would I have them buy it for me, slap their dumb logo on it, then charge me an extra 300%?

Kind of wanna call out that "Slapshot Racing" company or whatever their called also for doing the same thing but they're quite a bit less tacky about it, and have some decent and unique stuff.

Like four years ago I bought a PSR folding bar end mirror. Looks and operates just like its more expensive parent. Only thing that went wrong was that the washer by the mirror rusted.

Oh I'm sure the quality is fine, my point is it's more expensive than the direct-from-China route by far, for the exact same thing. They're a fake "brand name".

The psr stuff is the same as China stuff?

No, not exactly. I mean that's what I do...that's business. But they even buy the blatant Speedymoto knock off clutch covers and put their brand name on them. Blatant knock off Pit Bull stands and tire trees...same thing, slap a PSR logo on them. The original CRG mirror knock offs...CHR tire warmers...What they do is try to sell an illusion of an actual brand. It's not only deceitful, it's lazy as hell.

I buy all my premade tattoo needles from ISO certified factories in China....but I don't buy knock off Mickey Sharpz and Stigma tattoo machines and slap my logo on em. Then sell them for premium prices.

PSR are thieves, no doubt about it.  company A designs/produces a product, Factory in china knocks it off, PSR picks up the knock off then brands it.

the weird thing is how adding a logo somehow makes it a legit company for people.

Yep, exactly. To me it's twice as bad/stealing X2. Once from the original company, then again from your own customers, who are buying what they think is a product made by a legit moto company. Ripping off your customers makes you scum.

I have a separate, not very popular opinion regarding the purchasing of knock offs in general. If you know it's a knock off and you wouldn't have bought the legit version anyway...no harm no foul. But that's a whole other can o' worms.

This is just the tip of the China iceberg,  I read the C Gov is giving the blind eye to international trademark thefts.  They are even giving financial aid to industries that are being set up specifically for knocking off everything from green beans to MC parts. And what do we get from our guys, exhaust farts!
