Keeping myself occupied while waiting for the weekend to start the fork swap, so I'm thinking ahead about steering dampers.

2011 Monster 796.  For a stock (bored out) top triple, 848 forks protruding from the top with zero-rise clip-ons over the top triple, what are my steering damper options?   If it came down to side-mount or nothing, I would choose nothing, I really just don't like how they look.  In a strong way.  The Scotts and GPR sets seem to only work with stock setups, and I don't have the risers or riser clamp obviously.  Has anyone mush-mashed together something that works on the top or maybe even under the top triple?

I've seen under triple set ups using a short damper and clamps on the frame and fork like this one...

I'm sure there are others out there.

It can be done.
