A fellow made these slick axle plates for his ST:

Was wondering what something like this might cost and if anyone here would be willing/able to turn out a set. I've no clue, but imagine it may be cost prohibitive for just one set but thought I'd ask anyway.  Thanks.

You had it in the right place the first time.

Pretty slick.  Can't help with machining cost, but these would also work nice although they are a bit clunky.

I don't work in a private shop, but I would imagine making one-offs of those would not be cheap at all.  you'd be paying more for the time it'll take to reverse engineer the pieces, n'mind the mfr cost.

ping monsterlover if you're serious about having one made

I guess they could be considered clunky but they are beautifully machined and weigh nothing. Cody @ Corsair is a class act. He may be machining some custom tattoo machine frames for me, it would be worth it to ask him about these.

Thanks for the replies, folks. DesmoTimes has a plate nearly identical to the Corsair set, with the addition of a notch for sighting (http://www.desmotimes.com/Images/product/DTaxleplate-st4s.jpg). I'll probably go with a set of those. I really like the way the others close up the entire axle hole, though.

I wanted the DT one but I'd thought he only had em' for alloy swingers

Oh, by clunky I did not mean they aren't gorgeous (just a bit more pronounced than the ones in the OP link).  I am actually thinking of ordering a set of these as well as a key cover (the previous owner of the 620 I am rescuing deleted the immobilizer due to a lost key)

He does both alu and steel for 17mm and 25mm axles: http://www.desmotimes.com/product_axle_plates.htm

That's good. I'm cool with my Corsair one.

Those are pretty nifty.

<edit> $70?

I should be making these.

There's a lot of one-off type stuff for Monsters that places like Motowheels sells you oughtta make also. I'd buy it.
