Will ExactFit coils work on an ST2?

Checked with the vendor, who said that if the stockers look like the ExactFit's, then they'll work. To my uneducated eye, they don't look similar enough. Wondering if anyone knows for sure one way or the other.  I'm just looking to upgrade the original coils and plug wires for better running.

Thanks!

You could check primary and secondary resistance of the coils you've got and compare with specs of the ExactFit.

st2 are the same as the 4v coil from memory.  why do you need to upgrade them?

Thanks for the replies.  No pressing need other than coils and wires are 15 years old and look ratty. Plus I've read others here have benefitted from better starting, smoother running at low revs, and a bit snappier throttle response from the kit. Given the reasonable price I'm willing to give it a try.

Does anyone know the primary ohm spec offhand? I haven't been able to find it anywhere online and I'm not going to have time to remove all the plastics in the near future...

the 4v style coil has no primary resistance from memory.  sounds odd now that i type it, but i'm sure i have checked them at some point.  it also has a 2 pin amp weatherpck style connector.

the exactfit coils are better than the round std carb ones, but i don't know that you'll see much benefit over the 4v style.  dunno.

Thanks, Brad.  According to this thread http://forums.ducatipaso.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2195&start=15, quite a few of the Ducs are 0.495-0.606 ohms primary circuit resistance (at 20°C) and 6600-8140 ohms secondary circuit resistance (at 20°C). Mine's the same part number, 28540031A.  I've tried to confirm the specs everywhere, including my service manual, but the above link is about the best I've found.

I'll have to try checking it myself, but don't know that my equipment is accurate enough...

Thanks. I came to the same conclusion. Contacted Dynatek and they weren't sure what would work, either, but said if I could provide the primary circuit resistance, they could find something. So I'll go that route.
