Hello ,

Just picked up my first Monster, (2007 S2R1000), actually it is my first Ducati too. I have been finding some great info on this forum, thanks!

The bike is completly stock and I plan on keeping it as close to stock and quiet as possible (for now). The first mods I am doing are to clean up the apperance of the bike.
1. remove charcoal canister and hoses
2. replace mirrors with barends
3. take off flyscreen

I would like to remove the exhaust collector box and replace it with a cat eliminator pipe. I have done some searches and found two that fit the bill, Marving ($350) and Danmoto ($200). They look almost identical in design but am wondering if there is a big difference in quality? Any feedback would be appreciated, thanks! [beer]

Are they the same material (i.e. stainless, Ti, etc)?

Yes they are both stainless steel. The Marving is made in Italy and the reviews are good for fit and finish. Not sure where the Danmotos are made and did not find any reviews on this item. I figured there are some on this forum that are running them.

Danmoto is Chinese.  IMO, pipes, OK.  Mufflers are good value for the price, not quite as OK.

I have been reading some threads on them and that is what most are saying. I pulled the trigger on a Marving from Monsterparts.com.

Thanks, John

Thanks, I will look into the O2 manipulator.

Case S2R

I got a Spark mid pipe through Motowheels, so make sure to check that one too.  I am happy with the fit and looks of it.
