I thought upside-down land had all the scary critters.  We don't have a feral cat problem in my little corner... of course, we have great horned owls, eagles, hawks, mountain lions, bobcats, coyotes, and probably bears.

A local story has it that a great horned owl once tried to carry off someone's beagle.  Apparently couldn't get quite enough height over ground for owl air traffic control, but the beagle didn't make it.
