Hi,
Hi, I'm David from Topeka, KS. I just got my first street bike at the age of 52! It's a 2005 Ducati Monster 620. The bike is cherry. It has has two women owners before me. The first one put 800 miles on it in 6 years! I know that's not so good. The second owner is an acquaintance, and I heard she putted around on it. Her ex-boyfriend actually owned it, and he said he put maybe 500 miles on it. I bought it with 5K on it about a month ago. I'm wondering if since it wasn't ridden very hard the first 5K, if I can forestall the major service scheduled at 6K for a while. Any way I have ridden a few of my friend's bikes over the years, but never a Ducati, and now I'm hooked! I sure would like some more distance from peg to seat, as I'm 6'1". Any suggestions? Thanks.

Welcome to the forum

perform the 6K service as soon as you can,  bike will also need new rubber and fluids . . . keep an eye on forks seals as they may be "dry" and could start leaking.... if tires are OEM,  they gonna need replacement.....have the head bearings inspected/greased  . . .

Ducati is the pretty girl that can't walk in heels without stumbling. I still love her.
