So coming off my beloved S2R 800, I noticed that the M1100 Evo doesn't seem to have a linkage to adjust the ride height like my old bike.

Is there a fix for this or am I just missing something.

AFAIK, you can fit the upper shock clevis/mount from a 696 to lower it.
I've done it to a customer's M1100, I'm pretty sure the EVO is the same stuff.

Other than an aftermarket adjustable length shock, that's about the only proper way to do it.

Thanks for the clarification.

I'm not looking to lower the rear but rather raise it. Personal preference on settings from years  tweaking my old monster S2R800 to exactly how I liked it. In the end, I ran the rear a 1/2" higher. with the front at stock height.

I've never been a fan of lowering the front.

Looks like my options are limited to penske shocks.

You may be able to fit a spacer between the clevis and the subframe, and thus raise the back.

I may try that. All I need is about 1/2-3/4". But for me it makes a huge difference.

Thanks

I looked at a 696 that I have in, there's no extra stud length to speak of, so it's not possible to just slip a spacer in there.
Check on yours to see if you can.

In any case, it's not a complicated part.
A good fabricator could make you a longer one, either the ears of the clevis, or a longer stud so that you can spacer to suit.

Just as an FYI to close on my original question. I was able to only add 2 grade 8 washers to add to the clevis. Total thickness was almost negligible at 4mm. Any more than this and you lose meat on the clevis nut.
