Depends on the date. I was lined up for it but couldn't skip the boys birthday.

Suggestions for dates are welcome.

...unless it's bike week.

Ducati is the pretty girl that can't walk in heels without stumbling. I still love her.

We need to thank some people...no names.

To all of you that made DIMBY 2015 what it was...

and it was a great thing for so many reasons...

thank you to all of you.

It makes it easier to do it again.

I got July 18th, August 1st and September 14th booked until it's time I wasn't.

Any other time and I'm free. Would love to make it and see the new place.

If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

I'm in favor of early-ish DIMBY 2016 so that I can swing by on my way south.

You need to be more specific

I won't know for some time.  I put in my calendar "vote" at the end of this year when the trip transitions from 90% to 99% likely.

Weather considerations sort of dictate the two or three months it will work...although if we do it with snow on the ground I don't need a fire permit.

I think you're the only one that does extreme alpine camping though. ;D

The snow would keep the beer cold, encourage liquor consumption for warmth and ensure the shooting gallery didn't get anything torched, other than Chris.

No, just Travis.

I missed my turn.

Unrelated I swear, but, are you coming next year?

Due to already planned vacations (Taking my oldest to Hawai'i for a graduation present), I will most likely not be able to come. Going from 30 days of vacation a year to 10 kinda cramps my style...

It's been my experience that DIMBY liquor consumption does not require any encouragement.

It's like I keep saying:  Those who would sacrifice a free range session for a giant beer, deserve neither free range time nor a giant beer.

i have had guys reach back and grab my crotch in an attempt to get around me. i'll either blow in their ear or ask them politely to let go of my wang.

Thirty hours in the air..... too many more on the ground in between  [bang]

Flight from BOS to LHR was fabulous, almost empty 747 allowed me a full row of seats to myself for the overnight flight.

I slept the entire way  [thumbsup]

But things turned to shit from there on.  Flight connection make the beast with two backs ups (of my own making).....  and next to zero sleep for the next 22 hours of flight.

I arrived home midnight Saturday.  Slept until 6am Sunday [thumbsup]

No more sleep came for the next 36 make the beast with two backsing hours.

Bed at 8pm last night, awoke at 2:30am  :-\ [bang]

Right now, 6pm on Wednesday I'm sitting at my desk ready to fall asleep on the keyboard.

But...

by make the beast with two backs was it worth it!!  ;D ;D ;D

Seems a little surreal now that I'm home.....  but getting to DIMBY to meet you bunch of crazy bloody fruitcakes was more than worth the sleep deprivation  [laugh]

Thanks for the welcome, the laughs, the wisdom (not you Ddan obviously  ;D), and the fat-chewing.  Into the wee hours.

I

am going to name names.

Thanks to Nate, T and Z for sharing you home with me.  For making me so welcome.... for allowing me in.

Thanks too to Kevin and Cindy for carting a motorcycle all the way to NH just for me.  Pity...... things ..... conspired against me hopping aboard  [evil]  But probably for the best.

[beer]

Until the next time.
