It's not in pristine shape for sure, but not horrible, given the mild climate here in ColoRADo.

Me brother dug this up somewhere and sent it to me. It's my dad with the same Chrysler-circa 1965 or so.

If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

So the Chrysler was brought to Winfield's Rod and Custom some time ago. Did I mention it was a clustermake the beast with two backs?

The trip to Winfield's Rod and Custom. The car loading went poorly. Winch broke. Come-a-long broke. Chain tightener broke. Bought five tires, same size as the original trailer tires. They rubbed on the trailer. Used spacers on them so they'd fit (why wouldn't they fit?), got a flat on the way. Joy.

Halfway there I got a call telling me they think the head honcho had a black widow bite, he was going to the hospital-can I make it before he goes?

It was a clustermake the beast with two backs.

Anyway, Gene finally got a chance to look at it-told me he couldn't do the rockers properly without doing the floor, then he quoted both. I told him to do it.

Few people realize how much work it is.

I've had a few down that far...mostly foreign stuff that had no 'frame' to rely on.

I only miss it occaisionally. :P

I tend to pick my battles-I would've lopped a Falcon up without a second thought, but once it's tweaked, it's tweaked.

It isn't hard to tweak them.

I saw a guy climb in to a car that had the rockers cut off without any door opening braces installed.

It never was right again.

I don't envy those guys AT ALL.

Just the drilling of all those spot welds sucks enough, let alone the rest....  :P :P :P
