Hi, all!  I'm excited to be picking up my 2014 M696 tomorrow, replacing my tired old 2002 SV650 that I put 40,000 miles on in the past 6 years.   Most of my riding is commuting with a little touring thrown in, expecting to do a little more this year since my GF also upgraded her bike from a CBR250r to a F700GS so we can travel with a little more comfort and style. Sold:  2002 SV650, 48,000 miles.  Bought:  2014 M696, 2,000 miles plus about 1,000/month

Ducati is the pretty girl that can't walk in heels without stumbling. I still love her.

Welcome!

Commuting? You might want to throw a 14T front sprocket on there. Will make low speeds much more pleasant and you might even find a use for 6th gear.  ;D
