In the US they tried to make a TopGear and staff it with 3 fun idiots and it was awful.  Worse than awful.  It felt like the personalities were engineered by a team of marketing or tv executives, which of course it was.  

That said, I enjoy Guy Martin and find him entertaining.  Show would be different no doubt, but could be fun.

I liked Phillip Glenister in the couple of tv shows I have seen him in (Life on Mars, Ashes to Ashes), not a big fan of the restoration car show he hosted tho.......
2004 S4R, Full Termi Kit, marving midpipe, DP Clutch pressure plate, Rizoma Open Clutch Cover,  Ducabike Slave Cyl and some tasteful carbon blingy goodness

Agreed! Clarkson cannot be replaced.

Yea it's kind of like replacing Vince Neil of Motley Crue or Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones. It rarely works.
I remember Van Halen during the Sammy Hagar Days. Just wasn't the same.
