A friend has it for his sports classic.  He didn't do the instal though.  My comment would be that you should think about changing your pressure plate at the same time as the OEM on is still ugly, through the glass.  I don't know if all the bling aluminium ones would work on a wet clutch though.

I hate that this is advertised as "fits all ducatis", yet it won't fit my 97 m750

Easy peasy to install. Even a golfer can do it. 

Use a torque wrench to avoid overtightening the fasteners. No need for any sealant.

Just be careful when fitting the ring and clear plastic cover to not not let it slip or you might scuff it.
A few pieces of masking tape placed around the circumference to hold the plate in alignment with the ring might be good insurance.

Once installed I suggest a soapy water mix to clean it. If you can source it, Novus No. 1 is also safe to use, plus it is anti-static.

I do plan to install it myself. My buddy bought one for his 620 also - plan to do his first to learn how 

I bought a red (looks like a revolver's cylinder) pressure plate and some black spring endcaps.

You need sealant to install the right side case but it is not neded on the clear window piece (it has a rubber seal) I was told.

The clear plastic disc comes covered with a protective layer which you peel off just before installation, a standard practice for most plastics and some metals. The manufacturers usually have their logo/trade-name printed on it (Kaiser/PPG,DuPont/etc.) I want to know which company made the plastic or their trade name for it. Right now, not knowing with certainty what the material is, I am limiting cleaning it to only with soap and water (Dawn dish washing liquid). I did do a very light application of Novus no. 1 to kill the static electricity. I would use Joy, but it is not readily available in my market.

On mine, the logo was not readable due to the way the cut for the disc was made on the plastic panel. Is it legible on yours?

IIRC there was some dude who made his own by cutting a hole in the side cover and then getting a piece of plastic with a machined lip and some tabs fabbed to hold it in place. From what I remember it was a pretty slick mod. Lemmie see if I can dig it up.

I think there was another guy who did this too...

His window was mounted from the inside - flush with the clutch cover - no screws visble (IIRC)

Don't see any manufacturers name on the side of the plexiglass piece. If its under the protective liner Ill let you know later after it is installed.

I decided to have my dealer do it for me...I have some wrench skills but not time as I recently moved and my honey do list for the new (to us) home needs some attention. They quoted me 2 hrs of labor + tax. I asked that they catch my oil and replace it as it was changed by me recently (mobil 1 full synthetic) so doesnt need to be dumped and replaced. Ill post picks later this weekend once its done.
