What's up peeps? I'm considering converting to GP shift (1-up / 5 down) on my M821. Have any of you guys done this? I'm looking for general opinions and tips on making the conversion.

Sorry for the bump, but I don't see anything else on the subject.

I switched the setup so that it's reverse now, but it's not ideal. I can't get the shifter as low as I'd like without binding.

I haven't seen an aftermarket reverse shifter for it.

Anyone?

Get a new shifter arm

The mount is likely the same as. Any other 4 valve motor minus panigale

I'm not sure though. I tried to swap the shifter from my S2R1000 and it hit the rearset...

Too long?

Yes, I tried to swap the SSR reverse shifter I installed on my S2R1000 and it touches the where the rearset mounts to the frame. Are you referring to the shifter that has a bend in it to give it some clearance?

I see your issue now. Try a longer shift rod and see if you can get it to work that way

How about a shorter shifter?

Maybe, I'll have to check the length of my existing one when I get home. This might work.

That's a no go. Length of that shifter is 4 1/4". Spline to closest point of contact is 4".

I think the off set ones might work. $100 bucks though...

I guess it depends on how everyone is measuring.

Is it 4 1/4 oal or 4 1/4 center of spline to toe peg?

Hope you find some thing.
