Hey All,

Anyone know what is fair price $$$$$ for 2007 Duc Monster S2R 1000, 7,000 mi.... Custom pipes, custom mat black paint, excellent condition? Kelly Blue Book says $5,800..... The one I'm looking at is $7,800.... Can be seen in link or copy/paste below.......

Any opinions appreciated..... Going to look at it tomorrow, Thursday 8/6/15

I'd ask what maintenance records he's got.

And I'd ask him why one of the ECU connectors is unhooked and hanging out at the bottom rear of the tank.

Seems that there's quite a few of that model available from dealers, in the vicinity of that KBB $.

Ahhhh, nice catch... I was thinking that May be a battery lead..... I'll keep that in mind.... Thanks

Might want to ask if it's been in a crash. From the pics, that's not a very good quality paint job and the S2R1000 never came in a "Dark" version.

So,

I went to see it and it was bad ass..... All custome and in mint condition. The seller is a bike builder and a master mechanic. The tank is wrapped in mat black, kind of like the way people wrap cars these days, with the perfect factory gloss black paint job underneath with a white racing stripe. Needless to say I bought it and rode all day today.... The power is magnificent and it truly sounds like a "monster" with the custom exhaust. Not a Duc Monster but more like a monster from deep down in the basement of an abandoned insane asylum!!! ::) It's sick and I love it.......

Thanks for all the advise.........

While I'm at it,

Does anyone know the proper running temperature for this bad boy? The seller said 300 is pushing the danger zone.... Racing all over Manhattan today it got up to 230 and felt pretty hot. But it didn't waiver at all..... Again, it performs like a champ..... I'll be back out on it tomorrow for sure!

Thanks Agsin,

Dan O......

Congrats!

230 is fine, you will see higher in traffic.  No manual?  Download one here  http://www.ducati.com/services/maintenance/index.do

230 is perfect. Aircooled bikes run a bit hotter. if you hit 270 begin to think about pulling over. 320 i think is considered danger i think.

so pics or no joy!
