Tank bag that's not too fugly

Hi gang!  Hope we're all enjoying this new Monster board.  Anyhooo, I'm wondering what sort of tank bag suggestions I can get from the in-the-know Monsterheads out there for a bag that'll be tidy and not too fugly on my '08 S4RS Tricolore.  Kinda hate to cover it up at all, if you know what I mean.  And I certainly don't want to damage the paint in any way.  Suggestions?  Pics?

Tank bag's going to be tough for an S4RS.  The gas tank is plastic, so you have to get a tank bag with straps.  They make those, but only a few looks good (The DP's cool!).  I'm considering using a tail bag.  I'm waiting to see if I can jerry-rig the new 696 tail bag to fit on my S4RS.

Have you got a cargo net on the back yet? I know it seems obvious, but for carrying small stuff the net is 100x more useful and easy to use.

I own a magnetic bag that works great (not for you of course), but I never never use it unless I need to carry more than my trusty net can hold.

The net looks cool too.

There's the kind that you basically bolt a little ring to the gas cap and it has a little plastic doohickey the bag hangs on to. Doesn't even touch the tank-my buddy has one on his MV Augusta. I can ask him what it is if you like.

"Fugly" is in the eye of the beholder.

I have a Givi T419 Voyager.  It expands to 42 liters.  Since it's not for everyday use, I rarely use it on the Monster but regularly on the Bandit.

Yeah, thought about the tail bag, but I like the look of the Tricolore tail cover so I'd like to keep it on.  Too bad I can't strap stuff to the beer tray, but it'll block the taillight and I can't have Johnny Law citing me for that.  At this point the DP strap-on bag is looking better and better.  That Tourmaster looks pretty good too.  Gotta hunt around and see if I can spy one in the flesh.  I saw a pic on the "old" board of a Tricolore with a strap-on bag that looked pretty decent and unobtrusive.  The hunt continues . . .

Good to know, I'm getting mine soon wt:
How did you secure the straps under the seat?

The straps went around the outer frame rails just aft of the tank.  Where it tightened up, it comes up to mount the rear of the bag.  I'll have to put a picture up when I get home.  I can't really describe it in words ~

+1 especially since the stock paint is known to be soft.  I'd suggest that whatever you get you put a large piece of felt cloth between the tank and bag.  It'd be a shame to mar the paint job you really love.

I just bought the cortech sportmaster super 14 tank bag.  I love it and it looks awesome just like all of the rest of their products http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/1/4/71/1556/ITEM/Tour-Master-Super-14-Tank-Bag.aspx

It helps a lot.
I thought it might had to go around the hinges for the tank - sharp edges - didn't like that.
Thanks wt:

I'm actually thinking about the 18 liter. What about size? Too big to reach around/lean over?
