There's some weird stuff going on. There's a 13hr window that's unaccounted for.

More goodness.

He bends the neck of that guitar from 4:30-5:30 and burns it down from 6:50 on.  8)

Respect.

[thumbsup]

A very multi faceted talent, but his guitar skills stood out for me. He didn't show them off enough I reckon.

I've thought for years that he was Hendrix's equal. A phenom for sure.

He was heavily influenced by Jimi. I heard him say that on several occasions.

RIP

I always liked that cat. IIRC he was self taught on reading and writing music (?). He had mad guitar skills. He steps in here at 3:23.

An absolutely incredible solo.

Dude was amazing.

What's really cool is to see the tributes from across the genres regarding his musical ability.  [bow_down]

Like SRV, another artist I never saw live, unfortunately.  :'(

Kudos to GM on this tribute ad.  [thumbsup]

Agreed.

His halftime performance at SB XLI was also quite remarkable: https://youtu.be/RT4Tn5ztwdA

Once in an interview, after being asked the question, "What’s it like to be the best guitar player alive," Eric Clapton responded, "I don’t know, ask Prince."

RESPECT.     [bow_down]

DAMN, that is a level of respect in your craft. [thumbsup]

Saw a local band last night (who released an album last year that debuted at #1 on Billboard's Bluegrass chart) and they closed their encore with a cover of Purple Rain.
