What size chain adjuster for '13 796?

I bought a large CD chain adjuster tool for my '13 796... that's what the application chart said... but it is too large for the teeth on the adjuster to mate properly.  Can anyone verify that the 796 takes the small adjuster tool before I dump another $30 on one?
