Refitted the flat valve cover to the rear inlet, it caused the battery tray to sit too high no matter what I tried, short of filing the finned cover, something I didnt want to do. The ExactFit coils give a cracker of a spark :) ... Pics a bit grainy, my good camera decided to shed its shutter button.

The last pieces have been polished, happy days.

Foot peg brackets look better now

Replaced the rusty shoulder bolts with some nice alloy inserts and ti bolts

Gave the rear caliper bracket a quick shine :)

He has come a long way since I first rescued him  ;D ... One last major job to do and the little beast is ready to fire up

The final job (now in progress) stripping off the many coats of paint is a task. There was a small fuel leak when I first found him, seemed to be coming from the reserve sensor but it may have been the hinge plate, so Ive run solder around the hinge plate and picked up a new sensor.

Gonna fit this SS fuel tap and ditch the OEM vacuum tap :)

Nice work.

If you clean those headers well before starting to remove all finger prints, and keep them clean, those things will turn the most beautiful golden color!

Get the aftermarket aluminum nut to secure the fuel sender if you haven't already.  The OE plastic ones will fail at the MOST. INOPPORTUNE. TIME. EVER.
