DEVO!

My headlight went out yesterday so I went out and bought a new bulb, I just figured the bulb was out. Put in the new bulb and my light does not come on, it will come on if I pull the highbeam trigger but no low beam and no high beam when the ignition is on. checked the connections, the fuse and everything looks good. Flicking the hi/lo switch doesnt do anything but the parking light still comes on. So for now I just used a rubber band to hold the highbeam trigger untill I can figure it out. Anyone have any ideas????? [bang]

Most likely the switch.  07? you should still be under warranty.

Yea I just called the dealer they said to bring it in, I hope this is covered under warranty this is the first problem I have had so I'm not really sure what it covers.

Just fixed mine with a similar problem....maybe your issue, too.  High-beam indicator stayed on after the bike started and the hi-beam wouldn't come on.  Light was on so I wasn't sure what the problem was.  Fuse was OK.

Opened the headlight and found the ground wire arc'd inside the H-4 plug, burned the socket, and broke the connection...no ground, no flow.  Bought a new socket at Pep Boys for $9; crimped (spliced) the wires, covered the connectors with heat-shrink tubing, replaced the crap stock screw/nut that locks the chrome cover band in place....took a little over an hour start to finish.

BTW, the fuse never blew 'cause the circuit never shorted out, and the light I saw on was the parking lite, not the headlight (ask me how I found out I had no headlight  :o)
